Anita Briem has been an actor in Iceland for more than twenty years. Known for her portrayal of Jane Seymour , the young woman who is destined to be the third wife of King Henry VIII in the series of the television show The Tudors and for her role as Hannah in the film Journey to the Center of the Earth ( 2008 ) . Briem began her professional career as an actor at National Theater Iceland at 9 years old. In her native Iceland she worked on TV, radio and other shows as an early actor. Briem was able to move to London at the age of 16 years old and participated in a play production that was staged at The New End Theater called Lenin in Love.
